1. Have A S’mores Bar
Who doesn’t love a s’more, especially to warm you up as the nights get colder? S’mores are an interactive way to get your guests comfortable and fill their bellies! These sweet treats are a fall staple, so incorporating them into your wedding just makes sense.
2. Serve Seasonal Desserts
If you’re not a fan of s’mores (is that possible?) or you want more dessert options, serve seasonal desserts! From pumpkin pies and caramel apples to doughnuts and cinnamon rolls, there are so many options for desserts to keep the fall feels going. If you just want a traditional wedding cake, try adding dried fruits or fall foliage to give it an autumn vibe.

3. Use Dramatic Color Palettes
There’s no denying that fall wedding colors are bold and beautiful. If you’re having a fall wedding, don’t be afraid to go with those moody tones! Reds, oranges, purples, and even yellow can all come together or stand alone to create a beautiful fall color palette. Recently, we’ve seen the dusty rose, burnt orange, and forest green make for some amazing autumn wedding colors. Get creative here!

4. Style the Groomsmen Accordingly
Don’t forget about your groomsmen! The guys need their fall colors as well! Have your groomsmen accent the bridesmaids dresses, or switch it up! Don’t be afraid to go off the traditional route, and have your guys wear fun colors as well. You could even put your groomsmen in vintage textured suits. The options for fall attire are endless!

5. Have Fall Foliage
Your fall foliage is another place to get creative. Use those same bold colors of reds, oranges, or purples, and mix in some natural colors to balance them. The pampas grass and palm leaf trend for fall weddings has also exploded in the past year, adding a boho-chic feel to fall weddings that we just love.
6. Incorporate Pumpkins
Another natural element to add to your cozy fall wedding is pumpkins! Pumpkins can be classy and cute if decorated correctly. They can also be different colors by adding paint, sparkles, or other embellishments. Maybe don’t go overboard with adding pumpkins to every aspect of your decor, but keep it simple by adding them down the aisle, in front of your welcome sign, or among the buffet table.

7. Do A Sparkler Send-Off
Surely you’ve seen, or maybe even been a part of a sparkler send-off at a wedding! Sparkler send-offs are a fun and picturesque way for the couple to say goodbye to their guests and hello to their new life together as their wedding day comes to a close. While summer is a great time for tossing flowers in the air, fall is a great time to warm up with sparklers!
8. Provide Blankets
Another great way to warm up your fall wedding is to provide blankets for your guests! Have blankets in baskets outside the ceremony location or even at the entrance to your reception to let your guests know they can get comfortable and cozy while you say, “I do.”

9. Get A Wedding Dress with Sleeves
Since the weather is getting cooler, it’s only appropriate to have a wedding dress with sleeves. From intricately designed lace sleeves, to sleeves made from sleek silk or satin, there are many choices for every style. Sleeves also seem to add an extra layer of elegance to your look on your wedding day.
10. Let Your Hair Down
Another aspect of your look is your hair. Again, since it’s cooler in the fall, don’t be afraid to let your hair down. While brides traditionally have their hair pulled back, we think leaving your hair down is just as beautiful, and may even keep you a little warmer during your cozy fall wedding.

11. Choose the Perfect Venue
One of the most important aspects of your cozy fall wedding is choosing the perfect venue. Yarborough Mill is a wedding venue located in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains where Fall is debatably the most beautiful season. As the leaves change colors and begin to fall, the rustic elegance of our venue is highlighted, creating a perfect autumn scene for your ceremony or reception.
